C. Barry Robinson, Senior Vice President, Hotel Investments – Miller Global - Denver
Mr. Robinson is a Senior Vice President of Miller Global, joining the company in February 2009. He is responsible for asset management, strategic planning, implementation and analysis of operations and capital issues for Miller Global domestic hotel assets. Mr. Robinson has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, with extensive experience in private sector hotel asset management. Mr. Robinson most recently served as Senior Vice President Asset Management, directly responsible for hotels/portfolios valued at more than $2 billion. Mr. Robinson acted as fiduciary and owner’s representative for all owner-related decisions and activities, including management oversight, capital expenditures, operation and budget review, renovation programming and oversight and contract negotiation for a portfolio of Starwood hotels in Hawaii.Prior to joining Miller Global, Mr. Robinson has held several hotel asset management positions including as an Asset Management Consultant to the President of Liberty Mutual Hospitality Group, Consultant to the Senior Vice President of Development for Mandalay Resort Group, and Consultant to The Prudential Insurance Company of Japan. Mr. Robinson has also held various other positions such as Vice President of Business Development for a Honolulu-based commercial Project Management and Construction firm, Vice President of Development of Asset Management for the Western United States for the Crowne Plaza and Inter-Continental Hotel division, and Managing Vice President for The Prudential Realty Group’s Western U.S. Hotel division. Mr. Robinson was a founding member and former President and Vice President of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA).
Mr. Robinson graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and received a M.B.A. in 1998 from the University of San Francisco, McLaren School of Business.
