Terry L. Hillegas
Mr. Hillegas is Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer of Miller Global and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Hillegas has 18 years of
experience in real estate accounting and financial reporting.
Currently, Mr. Hillegas is responsible for all
accounting, reporting, budgeting, lending draw requests, cash management, risk
management, and employee benefits. Mr. Hillegas' accounting and reporting
responsibilities involve several complex partnerships and joint ventures for
both acquired properties and developments. Mr. Hillegas is also involved in due
diligence, acquisitions and dispositions.
Mr. Hillegas has worked with some of the Principals
since 1979 when he was Senior Staff Accountant for Urban, where his
responsibilities included financial reporting and budgeting for a $600 million
dollar real estate joint venture.
From 1985 to 1988, Mr. Hillegas was Vice President and
Controller of Frederick Ross Company, the largest independent brokerage firm in
Denver. At Frederick Ross, Mr. Hillegas was responsible for financial reporting
and budgeting for property management clients.
Mr. Hillegas was Vice President for Michael James and
Company from 1988 to 1993, with responsibility for all aspects of financial
reporting and budgeting, risk management and employee benefits.
In 1993, Mr. Hillegas joined Miller Global. He has been
responsible for accounting and financial reporting for all aspects of real
estate ownership including acquisitions, dispositions, development and
operations of commercial office buildings, retail centers and mixed-use
projects. His duties have also included the preparation of financial reports,
budgets, and development proformas, the coordination of audits and tax returns,
cash management and risk management, and assistance in due diligence, property
management and administrative responsibilities.
Mr. Hillegas graduated in 1987 with a M.S. in
Accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver.
